Interested in weather? How it works, how to predict it, what does the local Weather Person know what to say. You now have you chance. The Baden-Powell Council is partnering with the National Weather Service at the Binghamton Airport for scouts to earn the Weather Merit Badge. Taught by the Meteorologist of the National Weather Service. Program includes; Merit Badge Book, Blue Card, Merit Badge Workbook, and pencil.
Choice from one of the following sessions: (Class Limit of 15 Scouts per Session)
- Thursday November 14 – 6:00pm to 8:00pm
- Saturday November 16 – 10:00am to 12:00pm or 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Please complete the following requirement before attending the class. Bring proof from your family that you completed requirement 2.
2. Name five dangerous weather-related conditions. Give the safety rules for each when outdoors and explain the difference between a severe weather watch and a warning. Discuss the safety rules with your family.
