Tuscarora Scout Reservation is the perfect destination for Scouts seeking a memorable summer camp experience. The Scouts BSA summer camp features everything from thrilling aquatic activities on Summit Lake to hands-on learning opportunities in Nature, Handicraft, and Scoutcraft. With top-notch amenities including a 40-foot climbing tower, shooting sports programs, and quality campsites, you’ll find everything you need for a great week of summer adventures and Scouting fun.
Camp Tusky – Your Camp Home
Located in Windsor, NY at the foothills of the Catskill Mountains, Tuscarora Scout Reservation encompasses 1,200 acres of beautifully forested land on the NY/Pennsylvania border. Tuscarora offers 12 traditional “summer” sites with two-person canvas wall tents on platforms and three unique “winter” sites with eight-person lean-tos. Campsites include communal areas with carports, pavilions, picnic tables, and fire circles. Tuscarora features a newly-constructed shower house, a central dining hall that provides three delicious meals each day, and an enthusiastic and experienced camp staff that will make your unit feel at home. Each summer is filled with new programs and activities designed to peak the interests of every Scout – from the newest campers to the seasoned veterans.
2024 Theme – Mining for Adventure
Unearth adventure at Tuscarora in 2024. Become a prospector and stake your claim for excitement and treasures untold. Our special Mining Camp area awaits, offering an immersive experience for Scouts – master the art of gem panning, traverse the legendary gold rush trails, embark on quests for hidden gems and gold nuggets, and even run your own sluice box. Scouts will be able to work on earning special theme-related merit badges in our pop-up Mining Camp program area this summer; including Mining in Society, Geology, Archaeology, Exploration, and Soil & Water Conservation. Plus, the week will feature other special theme-related programs and challenges, Scouts will have the chance to earn rewards and have fun as they compete to collect hidden gems from the hills of Tuscarora.
