A unique program with historic roots

Badges at Barton is a one of a kind camping experience which provides opportunities for merit badge achievement, rank advancement, & skill acquisition through a flexible, time efficient program.

At the home of former Camp Barton, a historic Scout camp located at Frontenac Point on Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes Region, led by a diverse & adept staff who uphold Scouting’s most valued time honored traditions while executing a quality program from over 7 decades of experience and service to Scouting.

A program with abundant opportunities allowing each Scout to choose a unique path that best fits their interests.

At Camp Barton there is always something to be doing or engaged in. Both Scouts and Adults are presented with opportunities and challenges across all disciplines of Scouting (Advancement, Adventure, Skill Development Etc.) The more a Scout is prepared for the weekend, the more opportunities will present themselves and the Scout may go above and beyond their own expectations.

The Camp Barton Staff is always available to go the extra mile and support each Scout and Adults objectives. While time may not be abundant in just one weekend, our dedication to the most optimal use of it is of the highest priority. Every Scout and Adult can and will walk away from Camp Barton feeling accomplished. This is more than earning a badge or an award. This is about the experience.

Badges at Barton, is led by dedicated Scouting America Leaders, of whom most are members of the Camp Barton Staff Alumni Association. These men and women are professionals of their domains and bring with them a remarkable catalog of experience and practical knowithal. The Camp Barton Staff remains dedicated, now in its 104th year of service, to helping Scouts navigate whatever challenge they chose to take on.

Badges at Barton is run by dedicated Scouting America leaders who have all of the experience necessary to help your scouts complete their partials, or earn a completely new merit badge during their stay.

With staff returning year after year to pass on their expertise to the next generation of Scouts, there is practically nothing they cannot help with.
