Scouting Honors Descriptions
Scouting Honors celebrates the achievements of National Council employees when they demonstrate a commitment to the BSA Operating Principles and delivering a quality Scouting experience to more youth (the “main thing”).
There are three levels of awards available:
Silver Compass: These awards are presented to individuals or teams recognized by fellow employees who demonstrate one of the Operating Principles.
Silver Blaze: Each quarter, the Diversity Committee will review all Silver Compass recognitions and pick the best examples to receive a Silver Blaze award for the quarter.
Silver Benchmark: Each year, the CSE’s office will review all Silver Blaze winners from the previous year and select a few employees who most closely demonstrate “the main thing.”
