Camp Tuscarora

CAMP TUSCARORA is a Boy Scouts of America Camp set on 1200 acres of rugged wilderness in New York's Southern Tier.  For the outdoor adventurer - this is truly the place to be with 12+ miles of wooded hiking trails on various terrain which is sure to thrill the beginning hiker to the more experienced one.

In the middle of the Camp lies 35-acre Summit Lake.  Here one can learn to swim, canoe, kayak, sailboard, row a boat or improve upon the skills one already possesses.  The fishing is superb and every once in a while, some very nice bass come out of the lake - much to the joy of that fisherman!

We have 10 Summer Camping Units (the larger ones are split in half to accommodate two smaller units) with 2-man platform tents.  Our tents also have tarps to ensure complete protection from the elements.  Also in each site are picnic tables, fire pits, a latrine, and running water which is treated and tested in accordance with the Broome County Board of Health and BSA Camp Regulations.

We also have five Winter Units, each with four Adirondack style 8-person lean-to's, a Center Lodge with wood stove, refrigerator, and electricity.

Camp also offers a Nature Lodge, Dining Hall, Handicraft/Trading Post Building, a Nationally known Older Boy High Adventure Program and a 40ft climbing tower.
